I see counseling as a place to practice being in relationship—with yourself, and with others. In many ways, the therapy space can mirror an ideal relationship: one where you are invited to show up as your authentic self, to be listened to without judgment, and to explore what feels hard or tender in a safe and supportive environment. My goal is for you to feel seen, valued, and respected for who you are, exactly as you are.
I enjoy supporting clients as they navigate a wide range of life experiences, with particular interest in grief and loss, aging, anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, self-esteem, life transitions, and menopause. These experiences often come with layers of emotion and uncertainty, and they can feel especially heavy when carried alone. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make meaning of what you’re experiencing, and begin to reconnect with yourself in a more compassionate way.
I believe healthy and lasting change happens through patience, practice, and kindness toward oneself. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to identify your goals and explore how to move toward them. This work can take time and effort, and learning to be gentle with yourself along the way can make the process more supportive and sustainable.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous, hesitant, or unsure about starting counseling—especially if therapy is new to you. I aim to demystify the counseling experience by being open, transparent, and approachable. From our first meeting, my priority is creating a space where you feel safe and welcomed. We will talk about your concerns, what to expect in therapy, and any questions you may have. You are always in control of what you choose to share, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University (expected graduation December 2026). I regularly seek consultation from colleagues as well as my licensed supervisor, Dr. Jennifer Kennett, LMHC (#LH60516584).
