Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Counseling is discovery. It is an unfolding. It’s moving from the place you’re at, which usually involves some pain or suffering, to a healthier and more enriching experience. It’s getting connected with your true self and finding peace there.
You may have arrived at a place where you feel you are not living the kind of life you imagined or that you are not living life authentically. You may be feeling disconnected from yourself and others -- you’re just beginning to notice that what brought you joy and pleasure in the past no longer does so. You may want to be more fully engaged in life but you are not sure what changes to make or how to make them.
I love working with individuals on life transitions, identity, and life experience. We move in and out of roles during our lives, and sometimes we struggle with those adjustments. Addressing what’s wrong and taking steps to change it is one of the scariest and courageous things a person can do. Therapy is growth. Together we can create a place for you to feel respite and comfort and solace, and my hope is this will help give you the confidence to move forward. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space filled with warmth, humor and unconditional positive regard, as I support you in achieving your goals.
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (#LW60547958) My work utilizes an anti-oppression lens with a focus on intersectionality and is informed by Mindfulness practice, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. I work with straight and LGBTQ adults throughout the lifespan.
