I’ve always been someone who cares deeply about how people feel and what they’re going through. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural path for me—I wanted to help people feel less alone and offer a space where they could truly be themselves without fear of judgment. What I love most about counseling is how real it is. There’s no need for small talk or pretending. It’s an opportunity to be honest, to feel seen, and to begin making sense of what’s been hard to carry.
In my work, I support clients navigating depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. These experiences can make us feel stuck or disconnected from ourselves, but I believe change is possible. It often starts with small steps—getting to know yourself better, finding new ways to cope, and learning to speak to yourself with more kindness. I work with people across the lifespan—whether you’re a teen figuring out your identity, someone in midlife juggling relationships and responsibilities, or an older adult adjusting to new phases of life.
I have a deep interest in supporting immigrants and those balancing multiple cultures, as I understand how complex and tender those experiences can be. I especially enjoy working with individuals who find themselves navigating the space between their country-of-origin culture and the expectations of life in the U.S.—whether that’s in the context of family dynamics, professional settings, or social relationships. Many of my clients come in wanting support with how to supervise someone from a different cultural background, or how to navigate workplace norms that feel unfamiliar or misaligned with their own values. Others are seeking guidance in forming friendships when tech habits, communication styles, or cultural references don’t quite match. I find it incredibly meaningful to hold space for these conversations and help people honor their cultural identity while also finding ways to connect, lead, and thrive in diverse environments.
My style as a therapist is warm, collaborative, and patient. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating. You don’t need to have everything figured out or share more than you’re ready to. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to create a calm, supportive space where you can explore what’s been weighing on your heart and begin to feel more grounded. Everyone deserves to be treated with care, curiosity, and respect—and I consider it an honor to walk alongside you as you work toward feeling more like yourself.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with the State of Washington (#SC PENDING). I regularly seek consultation from colleagues as well as my licensed supervisor, Katherine Walter, MSW, LICSW, CSW-G (LICSW #LW 60136151).
