What I appreciate most about counseling is that it offers people a space to reconnect with a sense of safety—often one they didn’t get to fully experience before, or that may have been lost somewhere along the way. I see therapy as a place where you can show up without needing to explain away your contradictions, where you can take off the mask, explore what feels tangled, and begin to make sense of things at a pace that feels right for you. At the same time, therapy with me is not just a place to talk—it’s a space where we stay gently oriented toward growth, helping you notice what keeps you stuck and what supports meaningful change.

I’m especially drawn to working with people who are navigating the long-term impacts of trauma—particularly when it shows up as self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or a quiet pressure to meet family or cultural expectations. You may be someone who holds yourself to very high standards and feels responsible for others, even while carrying a sense of shame or self-criticism beneath the surface. I deeply respect the protective parts of you that developed to help you survive pain, criticism, or conditional acceptance, and I don’t believe therapy is about “fixing” those parts. Instead, we work to understand them clearly—while also compassionately challenging the patterns that no longer serve you.

To me, healing isn’t about becoming someone different—it’s about coming home to yourself. It’s about learning to pause, listen to your own voice, and meet your inner world with curiosity rather than judgment. Often, the struggles you’re facing can feel like isolated moments or personal shortcomings, but together they form patterns shaped by past experiences and expectations. In our work, we connect the dots with care, while also staying accountable to the changes you say you want—practicing new ways of relating to yourself, setting boundaries, and making room for emotions that may have long been held back.

If you’re feeling nervous about starting therapy, I want you to know you’re not alone. We don’t have to start with anything overwhelming, but we also won’t stay stuck in the same place week after week. You can begin with what’s been on your mind lately, something you’re curious about, or simply the process of settling into the space. We’ll move thoughtfully and intentionally, with my hope that our work together feels steady, collaborative, and rooted in trust—supporting you in showing up as you are, while continuing to move toward the life and sense of self you’re working to build.
